Our Story…

Small Business Saturday is a day set aside to recognize small businesses and their impact on our local communities. On November 30, support one of Kansas City’s own small businesses, One Stop Decorating. Steve and Cherie Roellchen opened One Stop Decorating in 1995 after deciding it was time to get out of corporate life and focus on owning their own business. They not only wanted to provide their hometown with stylish décor, but they also wanted to have more time to spend with family. Their hard work has paid off as they now have four showrooms in Shawnee, Lee’s Summit, Northland, and Overland Park.

Steve says the best part of owning his own business has been wowing customers with great customer service. He has also enjoyed watching their team succeed and grow throughout the years. The Roellchen’s have found that being small business owners allows them to excel and change faster than large companies. This means they can always give Kansas City the best in blinds, shades, shutters, custom draperies, wallpaper, paint, fabrics, furniture and accessories.
