We're asked many times if real wood or faux wood blinds are still popular in 2010 and the answer is "YES"! 

Some people still refer to them as "venetian blinds" even though the true definition of a venetian blind is a slatted blind made of metal or plastic. 

Irregardless of the term… real and faux wood blinds are still popular and more beautiful than ever.   "These ain't your grandma's blinds"… like the saying goes!
