The new metal/aluminum blinds of the 20th century have come a long way since their first introduction in the 1950’s.  In other words… “they’re not like your grandma’s old venetian blinds”!

Today, they’re called Reveal with Magnaview by Hunter Douglas.  When the vanes are closed, they resemble a regular aluminum blind.  When opened, however, the slats nest together to provide maximum access to light and your outside view.

With a 1″ slat, you get the view of a 2″ slat and with a 2″ slat you get the view of a 4″ slat.  Pretty cool, right?  And, as you can see from the photo from one of client’s home… they look great!

They’re still as durable as ever, they come in over 100 different color and finish options and you even get a decorative valance.  With Hunter Douglas’ Alustra Modern Precious Metal Collection… you can even get decorative tapes and the lofty “Retrolift” system.
